There are many factors that can affect what oxygen equipment the patient receives. We want to make sure that patients are equipped with the right information to help them and their providers choose the best equipment for treatment.

Here are some considerations to keep in mind when looking at oxygen concentrator treatment:

The 5 oxygen concentrators featured below are either compatible with the "Home-fill" system or "Ultra-fill" system. The "Home-fill" and "Ultra-fill" oxygen systems allow small, portable cylinders (i.e. M-6's, M-9's) to be re-filled directly from the oxygen concentrator. This is great for patients who are more active outside the home.
Oxygen concentrators are often the preferred source of home oxygen for patients on long-term continuous oxygen therapy because the supply of oxygen is constant.
Maximum oxygen delivery rates range from 3-10 LPM.
Oxygen concentrators require no re-filling because they draw oxygen from the air in the patient's home.
Typically, concentrators are a less expensive option for therapy and the are easier to maintain.
