Home Care Medical's infusion pharmacy provides infusion therapy for administration in the home. Infusion therapy means medications are administered into the bloodstream, soft tissue or the spinal cord often by special pumps. Drug therapies commonly administered by infusion therapy include antibiotic, pain management, chemotherapy, hydration therapy and parenteral nutrition. A patient receiving infusion therapy may have a diagnosis of cancer, infection, severe pain, disorders of the gastrointestinal system, multiple sclerosis, sickle cell anemia, fluid and electrolyte imbalance, congestive heart failure or immune disorder.
Our specialized staff of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, nurses, a nutrition support dietitian and reimbursement experts are responsible for ensuring patient safety, sterile preparation of medications, proper selection of pumps and supplies, timely and accurate deliveries, patient education, on-going clinical monitoring, coordination and communication with other health care professionals involved with the patient's care and billing and insurance reimbursement.
Home Care Medical's mission is to enhance the quality of life of all those we serve. Our infusion pharmacy accomplishes this with professional services and quality products.
